Fortnightly Club Maintains Flower Boxes on Maple Street Bridge

Boxes are in memory of Madelyn Thompson Baker

By Pam Cooper
The flower boxes on the Maple Street Bridge were first installed by the Fortnightly Club in 2005, in memory of Madelyn Thompson Baker, a member of the Fortnightly Club and founder of the East Andover Beautification Committee. Her husband, Frank Baker, made the original brackets to support the boxes. Each year the Club plants the flower boxes to brighten up our little corner of the world.
