Dr. Kaitlyn Morse Presents “Tick Talk” at The Andover Community Hub

Wednesday, July 26; 7 PM; no charge

Press release

Dr. Kaitlyn Morse will present “Tick Talk: Ticks in NH through Community Science” at The Andover Community Hub on Wednesday, July 26, at 7 PM. This presentation is open to the public at no charge.

Dr. Morse is Founder and Executive Director of BeBop Labs, a nonprofit based in Salisbury. It’s the only organization that tracks ticks in New Hampshire, and it has created a globally recognized tick program and database with the help of community scientists.

The talk will present findings from the tick project and answer questions about what ticks are here, at what times of the year, and what specific diseases they carry. Dr. Morse’s hope is to spark interest in hands-on science, helping to fill a gap in knowledge and in the public health system, while at the same time encouraging individuals to take charge of their own health.

Dr. Morse has a PhD in immunology/infectious disease, as well as a passion for personalized health and global health equity. She is also the CEO of VaxSyna, a biotechnology company that is developing vaccines manufactured in plants.
