Continuation of Public Hearing: A request from Steven and Sonia Nelson for a variance to permit less than the minimum road frontage for a proposed subdivision. The property is located at 194 Boston Hill Road in Andover and is in the Agricultural / Residential District
The meeting was called to order at 9 AM on August 25 at 194 Boston Hill Road. Board members viewed the proposed subdivision and surrounding area, and the meeting was then moved to Town Hall.
After a lengthy discussion and considering the size of the lot, the density of the tree growth, and the shared driveway access, the majority of the Board was of the opinion that a subdivision should be allowed. In other districts of the Town ordinance, 150 feet of road frontage is allowed, and in this instance each proposed lot would have 170 feet.
A vote was taken and the variance was approved 3 to 1, with the Chair casting the declining vote.
