The Andover Fish & Game Club is pleased to announce that two scholarships were awarded this year. The AFGC Memorial Scholarship was established to provide financial support to students majoring in conservation or an environment-related program. It is given to encourage positive contributions to the wildlife management profession.

The scholarship program is in keeping with the club’s mission, which is to promote conservation of our natural resources and wildlife, and to provide and foster within our community an appreciation and interest in various outdoor activities, with special emphasis on hunting and fishing.

This year’s recipients are Maxwell Brooks and Sydnie Brahan. Maxwell attended Bishop Brady High School and plans to attend the University of Oregon to study Marine Biology. Sydnie attended Kearsarge Regional High School and plans to attend the University of Maine at Orono to study Environmental Science and Ecology.
