On Sunday, August 6th from 9 AM – 2 PM, Andover Historical Society will host the “Old Time Fair,” a tradition that began over 40 years ago. The event will take place at the historic Potter Place Train Station, at 105 Depot Street in Andover. Festivities include kids’ games, hand car and miniature train rides; the Ossum Wonder Show by magician Andrew Pinard; music by Lindsey Schust and the Ragged Mountain Band; snacks, beverages, and barbeque cookout by the Andover Historical Society; history demonstrations, guided tours of the museums, flea market at the Freight House, bake sale, farmer’s market and a craft market with vendors from across New Hampshire. The event is free and open to the public.
This year many local businesses contributed to the Old Time Fair to help make it happen. The Andover Historical Society would like to thank the Highland Lake Inn, Belletetes, Ty Morris Realty, GRVL Cycling, JJ’s Market, and the Andover Lions Club for their donations and sponsorship of the event. In addition, the AHS would like to thank all members and supporters for their contributions to the Andover Historical Society this year. As a non-profit run by a strong group of volunteers, this support makes a world of difference! Thank you!
AHS could use a few helpers on the day of the fair and to help with set up and break down.
Anyone looking to volunteer with this fun team, please contact AHS by phone (603) 735-
5232 or email Lindsey (schustmusic@nullgmail.com). Thanks! Hope to see you on August 6
