As The Andover Community Hub’s “Come On In” capital campaign surpassed its goal of $145,000, thanks to a very successful July 30 Rock ‘n’ Tacos event in The Andover Barn, Hub volunteers were focusing intently to complete the community kitchen in its headquarters building at 157 Main Street in Andover Village.

This is the final project of The Hub’s campaign;  the roof, ramp, and accessible bathroom have all been completed. In various stages of design and construction since last winter, the kitchen is expected to be available for community use sometime this fall.  Many volunteers, including Steve Darling, Doug Phelps, and Ken Wells, worked tirelessly to install shelving and cabinetry, and stainless steel tables, sinks, and countertops.

As the doors of the new kitchen become open to the public, maybe as early as October, look for a “Hub-cooked” party to welcome in the community!
