Bird Walk is the Next Wander Wilmot Event.

Saturday, September 16, 7:30 AM

Press Release

Learn to identify birds by sight and sound with lifelong birder, Bill Chaisson, starting at 7:30 AM, on Saturday, September 16, at Langenau Forest, on Messer Road in Wilmot.

Wander Wilmot is a series that ventures into Wilmot’s natural and historic areas with an expert guide. The Wilmot Community Association (WCA) is sponsoring the program. It will cancel the program if it rains.

Chaisson has been a birdwatcher for more than 50 years. “I chose the college I attended because it offered ornithology,” he said.

Advance registration is strongly suggested. Visit the WCA’s website, WilmotWCA.org to register; call the WCA’s office at 603 526-7934; or send an email to WCA@nullWilmotWCA.org. Please use “Wander Wilmot: September Bird Walk” in the subject line of your email.

The WCA, incorporated in October 1963, is celebrating its 60th anniversary. The nonprofit organization offers free and low-cost events throughout the year. The WCA owns and operates two facilities in Wilmot — the Red Barn, a community center on Village Road, and Timmy Patten Park, a beach and playground on Shindagan Road.

Please visit WilmotWCA.org for more information about the WCA. The WCA’s office is open from 9 to 3 PM on Fridays and by appointment.
