Wilmotpalooza! Feathers, Fur, Fairy Houses, Food and Lots of Fun

Sunday, September 10, 11 AM to 2 PM on the Wilmot Town Green

Press Release, Wilmot

Sponsored by the Wilmot Community Association (WCA), Wilmotpalooza is a fun-filled day for the entire family. From 11 to 2 PM, on Sunday, September 10, the Wilmot Town Green will be packed with activities, exhibits, and demonstrations.

“We’re excited about Wilmotpalooza 2023!” said Adam Glass, WCA Board Member and Chair of the event. “With new activities for children and several perennial favorites, the day promises to be fun for everyone.”

New this year will be an obstacle course especially designed for kiddos. If you and your family enjoyed the course at New London Hospital Days, then you know this is fabulously fun.

“If you’ve dreamed of building a fairy house, then you will want to visit the special booth for that activity,” said Kate Doucette, WCA Board Member. “Construction will continue while supplies last.”

Other activities include a karate demonstration; hands-on “Feathers and Fur” from Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, sponsored by the Wilmot Conservation Commission; and face painting provided by the Wilmot Learning Place. With their flair for fun, members of the Wilmot Volunteer Fire Department will demonstrate firefighting techniques.

In the afternoon, members of the First Congregational Church of Wilmot, UCC will serve lunch.

This event, except for food purchases, is free. Visit the Wilmotpalooza page on the WCA website, WilmotWCA.org, for updates and more information.

The WCA is a not-for-profit organization and offers free and low-cost events to the local community throughout the year. The association owns and operates two facilities in Wilmot —  the Red Barn, a community center, and Timmy Patten Park, a beach and playground.

The WCA’s office at 64 Village Road is open from 9 to 3 PM on Fridays and by appointment. More information is available at 603 526-7934.
