Those who love Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, and Michael Bublé and would like to learn to dance to these crooners, as well as others, are invited to join a four-week dance class at The Andover Community Hub to polish their foxtrot skills.
The class will begin on Friday, October 7, 7–8 PM, and continue for the following three Fridays. The fee for the series is $40, and pre-registration is required. Singles as well as couples are welcome.
Participants will learn beginner level foxtrot, including posture and frame, how to lead and follow, and dance floor etiquette. At the end of the class, they’ll be able to dance a variety of foxtrot figures. Dancers at all levels are welcome; as the instructors say, “The only things you need to bring are both left feet and clean shoes with smooth soles!”
The series will be taught by Laura Kiefer and Gary Stanhope of Hidden Door Dance Studio in Elkins. They’ve both participated as “pros” and choreographed dances for “Dancing with the Stars” in Newport and Sunapee.
The Hub is located at 157 Main Street, Andover. Contact The Hub at TheAndoverHub@nullgmail.com or 603 735-5509 for more information. Checks may be made payable to The Andover Hub and mailed to P.O. Box 157, Andover 03216, or dropped in the mail slot to the right of The Hub’s front door.
