Condensed from approved minutes.
Board members present: Kayla Chandler, Steve Chella, Aimee Menard, Dan Newton
Administration present: Dennis Audet, Catherine Masterson, Beth Page, Randy Wormald
Public present: Jeffery Dickinson, Donna Crisp Duclos, Sophie Sedgley

1. Principal’s Report.
The boiler has been ordered, but Audet reported that we have run out of time to engage in this project this summer. Once the boiler has been received, it will need to be stored to be able to engage in this major project next summer.

  1. New Business.
Wormald discussed scheduling the SAU Board Meeting in tandem with the ASD Board Meeting.

Jeffery Dickinson introduced himself as a candidate for the open vacancy on the School Board. Dickinson lives on Bradley Lake Road. He currently participates on another Board in town and is a water commissioner for the Andover Water District.

Dickinson’s family has a history of serving on school boards, and his children attended AE/MS.

He frequently works abroad, and he would be willing to attend remotely when these events arise. All were in favor. Welcome, Jeffery Dickinson!

3. Manifest journal entries.
The journal entries were approved.

4. Superintendent’s report.

On July 20, the State Board unanimously approved the tuition agreement between ASD and MVSD, with some kudos from the commissioner. The SAU 46 retreat was held last week, which was very successful in supporting collaboration between the two districts.

  1. Assistant Superintendent’s report.
Masterson has participated in some leadership training through the DOE. She is looking forward to working with Andover and Merrimack Valley.
