Sunday worship at the South Danbury Church is at 11 AM. Everyone is invited to be with us, and all are welcome!
Thank you to our guests from Andover, Danbury, Grafton, Hill, New London, Springfield, and Wilmot who braved rain and fog to enjoy Rebecca Rule’s fascinating and inspiring October presentation, “Moved and Seconded: Town Meeting in New Hampshire”! It was a lively gathering on a cold, wet night — warmed by plentiful refreshments, delightful conversations with friends, neighbors, and guests — and an important reminder about the need to be actively involved in local government.
We especially thank the New Hampshire Humanities “Humanities to Go” program and Bonnie Nichols for making the program possible, and The Beacon for sharing news of this and our other programs with a far wider audience than we could reach on our own. We are so fortunate to have such helpful friends!
This year’s Holiday Homemade Pie Sale will be on Friday, November 17, from 3 to 5 PM (unless the pies are all sold sooner). It’s a perfect opportunity to stock up for Thanksgiving dinner and the winter holidays! Watch for news, posters and Facebook
posts for delectable details.
