The Wilmot Public Library would like to thank everyone who made our annual Donkeys to Donuts festival a fabulous success this year. First off, it didn’t rain! The FROGZ — Mark Aldrich, Phil Monastess, and Jon Aldrich — set the tone, playing great music. Police Chief Duncan Domey kept everyone safe crossing the road.
We lucked out in so many ways, especially with the volunteers and funding assistance.
Special thanks to the guys at the donut table: Hayden Brown, Bill Chaisson, and Myles Gordon. Set-up and Craft Wizards — Carol and Doug MacDonald; Craft Table Assistants — Nola Aldrich, Chris Jenssen, Deb Ransom, and Janet Schwartz; The Bobbing for Donuts Crew — Kristin, Tilly, and Duncan McCarthy; Pumpkin Master David Lorden, and the wonderful women of Road to Independence, who taught everyone about donkeys.
Big thanks and a kiss on the nose to donkeys Pepper and Pimpernel! Thanks also to the anonymous donor who made the bounce house happen, and a million thanks to our dedicated Friends of the Wilmot Public Library, who sponsored the band and the donkeys. See you next year!
