New Hampshire’s working group is launching with a one-hour webinar to be held on Thursday, November 2, 7 PM. This event includes an address by Bill McKibben as well as a panel discussion with three distinguished New Hampshire citizens who will address the challenges of our changing climate and threats to democracy here in New Hampshire.

The panel includes a legislator, a climate activist and a farmer:

Laura Telerski represents Nashua in her third term as state legislator. She chairs the House Democratic Victory Campaign Committee and sits on the House Finance Committee.

Kendra Ford from Portsmouth, a former Unitarian Universalist minister, now works as a climate campaign organizer for 350NH. She supports the campaign to close the Bow Power Plant, the only remaining coal burning plant in New England.

Jamie Robertson of Contoocook owns and operates Bohanon Farm and Contoocook Creamery with his wife, 3 sons, and extended family. The large dairy farm has been in the family since 1907 (and has seen many changes). He also is chairman of the Five Rivers Conservation Trust.

Included in the webinar, viewers will enjoy a musical video created by a New Hampshire artist, a slide show of New Hampshire scenes by NH photographers, Bob Lapree and Dan Weeks, and New Hampshire citizens sharing their thoughts about climate change and democracy.

The webinar will conclude with a “Call to take Action.” Viewers will meet members of the coordinating committee. Third Act NH welcomes everyone. Together we will use our life experience, skills, and resources to build a movement for change.  To register for the webinar go to ThirdAct.org and click on Events.
