December’s featured performer at the Andover Community Coffeehouse will be longtime New Hampshire singer-songwriter Mary Maguire, returning to the Coffeehouse after seven years.  The concert will be held in its usual space at the Highland Lake Grange Hall in East Andover on Friday, December 19.

Music begins at 7 PM although the doors open at 6 PM for food and beverage purchases, sound checks, and up to five open mic sign-ups on a first-come, first-served basis.

Maguire is looking forward to sharing warm songs of the season with the Coffeehouse crowd. Long-time lead singer of The Mary Maguire Band, and co-founder of Sweet, Hot & Sassy! Mary has taught many workshops at music festivals and been a guest artist on other musicians’ recordings.  More recently, returning to her academic roots, Maguire is currently teaching Spanish and French, and yes, her guitar comes out in the classroom as well! 

Of this return performance show, Mary says, “I remember the welcoming Andover Coffeehouse folks! I can’t wait to HEAR them on the 15th!” as she looks forward to encouraging singing along with some familiar seasonal songs. Admission is free, although the hat will be passed and generous donations, shared with the featured performer, are encouraged.  The sponsor for the December Coffee house is Anne Marie Appel, Realtor, Better Homes & Gardens/The Milestone Team.
