Income Tax Help to be Offered Again at The Andover Hub

Wednesdays beginning February 7, and through tax season

Press release

AARP (formerly the American Association of Retired Persons) is again offering free income tax preparation assistance, along with free electronic filing, to residents of the Andover area, with a special focus on taxpayers who are 50 or older, or who have low to moderate income.

IRS-trained volunteers will be available at The Andover Community Hub on Wednesdays beginning February 7, and through tax season which ends April 15. To schedule an appointment or to have questions answered about eligibility, residents can call 617 539-6981 (a Google voice number), leave a message with their name and phone number, and expect a prompt return call.

Volunteer Jeff North has said, “We will do any return that is not too complex. Businesses with employees are beyond our scope. I’m glad to answer questions from anyone who is unsure of their tax return complexity and whether or not we can help them.”  AARP volunteers are trained and IRS-certified every year to make sure they know about and understand the latest changes and additions to the tax code.

The Hub is located at 157 Main Street, Andover. For information about The Hub, contact TheAndoverHub@nullgmail.com or call 603 735-5509.
