Gather the family and curl up with a warm drink to listen to timeless stories from local Native American history on a Zoom presentation Tuesday, February 20, at 6 PM. Brought to you by the Salisbury Historical Society and NH Humanities to Go, Anne
Jennison will enthrall with her program on Gluskabe. Gluskabe is a magical, powerful culture hero central to Wabanaki storytelling. Not the Creator nor a human, he is somewhere in between, a friend to all humans. These stories teach the Wabanaki understanding of living in harmony with Mother Earth and what happens when that balance is disrupted. Anne Jennison has more than 30 years of experience sharing Indigenous stories with audiences of all ages. She chairs the NH Commission on Native American
Affairs and is co-creator of “People of the Dawnland,” an interpretive exhibit about the Abenaki/Wabanaki people at Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth.
