The featured performers at the Andover Community Coffeehouse on Friday, March 15, will be the recently formed musical duo “93 North,” featuring two Proctor Academy faculty members with long and varied music and theater backgrounds. The concert will be held in its usual space at the Highland Lake Grange Hall in East Andover, where music will begin at 7 PM. The Grange Hall doors will open at 6 PM for simple supper food and beverage purchases, for sound checks, and for open mic sign-ups on a first-come, first-served basis.
The members of this duo had separate journeys through the musical world before teaming up in Andover. Singer-songwriter Scott King is thrilled to join forces with his longtime friend Amy Mathison to embark on a new collaborative venture combining his singing, song-writing, and acoustic guitar with her formidable vocal skills, for music with a blend of rock, folk, and pop sensibilities.
Coffeehouse admission is free, although the hat will be passed to be shared with the featured performers, and generous donations are gratefully accepted. The sponsor for the evening’s concert is Ragged Mountain Physical Therapy.
