First and foremost, I believe the job of a Select Board is to protect the people of the town. This includes fiscal responsibility as well as services. I believe in making “informed decisions,” which requires a willingness to be informed!
I recently retired from Commercial I.T. (Information Technology). During that time, having been involved in a great many projects, I’ve learned that it’s necessary to get the right people in the same room at the same time, and then, while staying in the loop, get out of their way.
My wife Kat and I have been residents of Andover for just over 20 years. As our town grows and develops certain needs, things can become unwieldy. I believe it’s important to continue to improve the communications and coordination of the Select Board and town agencies and departments. I think, especially now, we have a great opportunity to do that.
