Cecelia A. (Yeager) Richardson, 65, of Campground Road, died Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, surrounded by family. She was born in Wilmington, Delaware, on December 31, 1958, the daughter of the late Russell Yeager and Anna “Lolly” (Bierczynski) Sprague.
Cecelia attended Andover Elementary School and graduated from Franklin High School in 1976. Living in the area most of her life, she had been employed by Cricenti’s Market, Pastries Plus, and, most recently, Hannaford’s.
She was an avid reader with a home full of books. She also enjoyed baking, puzzles, sewing, practical jokes, and traveling. Known as Bachie to her only grandchild, Cecelia was at her best being a grandmother. She just loved that role and always looked forward to time spent with Paige.
She is survived by four sons: Alan (Jen) Richardson of Bradford; Jason Richardson of Bradford; Matthew Richardson of Andover; and Brian Richardson of Andover. She is also survived by her beloved granddaughter, E. Paige Richardson of Bradford; her mother, Anna “Lolly” Sprague of The Villages, Florida; two brothers, Jerome (Cindy) Yeager of Sutton and Eugene (Anna) Yeager of Florida; her former husband and father of their sons, Wendell Richardson of Springfield; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours were held on March 8, at Chadwick Funeral Home in New London. A gathering with food and fellowship was held afterward at the Wilmot Community Association. A family burial will be in the spring in Proctor Cemetery, Andover. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
