Derby results and upcoming rabies clinic

Kids ice fishing derby held on Eagle Pond in Wilmot on February 24.

The Andover Fish & Game Club’s Kids Ice Fishing Derby, on February 24, on Eagle Pond in Wilmot, went very well. Registered were 39 kids, and 20 fish were caught (17 pickerel, 2 perch, and 1 trout). 

The trophy winners were:
Longest Pickerel, Colin Szilagyi, 25” (a beauty); 2nd Longest Pickerel, Dillon Laroche, 22½”;
3rd Longest Pickerel, Evelynn Bartee, 21 ¼“; Longest Perch, Hunter Roy, 8 ¼”; 2nd Longest Perch, Kamden LaFlamme, 8 1/8”.

RABIES CLINIC INFORMATION
This year’s rabies clinic will be on Saturday, April 6, from 10 AM to 12 PM, at the Clubhouse in East Andover. Price is $20 for each animal. Shots are provided by the Riverside Veterinary Hospital in Boscawen.
