Pamela Weeks speaks at June 18 meeting

Press release

Congratulations to Logan Gabour, winner of our $3000 scholarship for 2024. At our May 21 meeting, Logan read his essay on Susan B. Anthony. He plans to attend the University of South Carolina in the fall. Following the announcement, we enjoyed speaking with Logan and his family over refreshments.

The Hearse House Museum is now open each Saturday from 1 to 3 PM. Come see our treasures and then go to the 3 to 6 PM Farmers’ Market, opening June 24, next door at the Town Hall.

On June 5, we will host the Round Robin, where fourth-graders from Salisbury, Andover and Webster visit each town’s Historical Society. All three groups of students will end in Salisbury where we will provide drinks and cookies to go with the children’s lunches they bring. This annual event dovetails with the statewide Grade 4 study of NH History.

Our June 18 meeting will be of interest to many and all are invited to hear Pamela Weeks speak on New England Quilts and the Stories They Tell. The program will take place in the Salisbury Town Hall at 6 PM. Guests are invited to bring one quilt for identification or to share its story. This program is brought to you by the Salisbury Historical Society and NH Humanities to Go.

As usual, a brief business meeting will follow our program. Find out more about us at salisbury historical society.org.
