June marks the beginning of Summer Reading at your Andover Libraries! This year, our theme is Adventure Begins in Andover, and we’ll be highlighting all the wonderful things to do in our town. We’ll also be continuing many of our beloved programs, such as our book clubs and story times.
“Read What You Want” Silent Book Club: June 5 and June 19 at 7 PM at the Andover Public Library (APL). Join us for an evening of reading, bookish discussion, and yummy snacks! Best for ages 14 and up. Bring whatever book you’re currently reading or find something new while you’re here. 

Summer Reading Kick-Off Week: June 18-22 at both libraries. School is out and Summer Reading begins! Stop by either library during our open hours to sign up for the Summer Reading Program and discover all the fun opportunities we’ll have for you this summer. 

Let’s Get Ready For Kindergarten: June 19 at 6 PM at APL. Calling all incoming Kindergarteners! Join us for an evening of learning new things, meeting new friends, and enjoying delicious food. We’ll have dinner together and do some activities to help you prepare for Kindergarten. Siblings are welcome to attend. Please register by emailing andovernhlibraries@nullgmail.com so we know how much food to order.

Library Trustee Meeting: June 20 at 7 PM  at APL. Interested in how the library operates or have a question for our board of trustees? Everyone is welcome at our library trustees meeting, which occurs on the third Thursday of the month.

Town Wide Scavenger Hunt: June 22 between 9 AM -1 PM at APL. Discover Andover during our Town Wide Scavenger Hunt! Start at the Andover Public Library and follow the clues around town to find all nine puzzle pieces. Bring the completed puzzle back to the library for a chance to win a prize! The first three teams to complete the challenge will also get a special trophy.

Bachelder Book Club: The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters: June 26 at 7PM at the William A. Bachelder Library (WABL) Meet with us at the Bachelder Library to discuss the book, The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters. Copies of the book can be picked up at either library beginning June 1.

We’ll have Tuesday Story Time at 10 AM at WABL through June 11. 

Wednesday Story Time at 10 AM at APL will continue all summer long.
