Andover – Do your kids have clothes in good condition that they’ve outgrown? Want to save some money while adding to your kids’ school wardrobe? The Andover Community Hub is
sponsoring a Back-to-School Clothing Swap for kids in preschool through Grade 12 (sizes 4/5 T
and up) to be held at The Hub on Saturday, August 10, 1-3 PM.
Clothing donations are welcome and can be dropped off ahead of time at The Hub in plastic
bags from Saturday, August 3 through Friday, August 9. Donations can be left inside, if The Hub is open, or in the waterproof bin on the porch, if The Hub is closed. The Hub is located at 157 Main Street and donations are welcome whether or not donors also intend to take part in the Open Swap.
At the Open Swap, clothes will be separated into sizes to the extent possible, and parents are
welcome to take what their kids need. It isn’t necessary to donate clothes in order to take
reasonable amounts to help kids start the new school year in good shape.
Donations of clothing must be clean, no perfumes or strong odors, in good condition (no stains,
holes or tears), with working closures (no missing buttons or broken zippers), and no shoes or
undergarments unless new and in closed packages.
