Andover – A class to teach American Mah Jongg — a fun game of skill, strategy and luck – will begin on Wednesday August 14, 10 AM to 12:00 PM and meet the three following Wednesdays. Area residents Diane Beaudoin and Ellie Gregor, both of whom are “hooked on Mah Jongg” and enjoy sharing their passion for the game with others, will teach the series.
Participants play this ancient Chinese game in groups of two to four. Partners aren’t needed.
The cost for the class is $20 which includes an individual 2024 Mah Jongg card, if participants
don’t already have one. After participants have learned the basics, they’ll be welcome to join
the ongoing weekly Mah Jongg group that currently plays at The Hub.
The deadline to register is Friday, August 9. The class is limited to twelve. To register, contact The Hub at theandoverhub@nullgmail.com or leave a message at 603 735-5509. The Hub is located at 157 Main Street and is universally accessible.
