The Fourth of July Raffle by the Fourth of July Committee was a huge success. The money goes toward the free children’s games, bouncy houses, and glow sticks. Again this year, Paula Higgins, of Andover, donated a beautiful homemade quilt, which was first prize and was won by Bill Bates.
We had a list of 40 very nice prizes, some gift items, but mostly gift cards. They were listed in order of the most expensive to the least. As usual, names were picked by a person who had not bought tickets or was related to anyone on the committee.
Tickets were mixed thoroughly between each drawing. Number one ticket received the most expensive prize and so on down the line. We still had some multiple winners but then some people bought a lot of tickets.
Our thanks to all the individuals and businesses who donated to the raffle and also, all the folks who bought tickets. We have a lot of loyal supporters from Andover and surrounding towns.
Just a reminder, prize winners have 30 days from July 5 to claim their prize.
