South Danbury Church News for August

press release

South Danbuy – Sunday worship at the South Danbury Church is at 11 AM. Everyone is invited, and all are welcome. The South Danbury Church will host this year’s Danbury Old Home DayAM.. Our speaker will be Danbury historian Gary Ford, sharing an illustrated presentation of historical insights and images from his extensive collection. No matter how much or how little you know about Danbury, you’re sure to learn more from Gary!

Sandi Pierson and her guitar will play gathering music before the program, and there will be the traditional attendance prizes for the youngest, oldest, largest family, a first-timer, and the person traveling the greatest distance for Old Home Day.

We’ll sing “Old New Hampshire,” the “official” Old Home Day song, and a light lunch will be served afterward. Guests from other towns as well as local residents will be happily welcomed.
The South Danbury Church will also be part of the Danbury Town Wide Yard Sale on August 4, from 8:30 AM. to 2:30 PM, and Bonnie Nichols is working with NH Humanities to bring more of the popular “Humanities to Go” programs to our church.
