Thank you to the Library Book Sale Volunteers

Many hands make light work

By Sheila Swenson

Andover – The newly formed Friends of the Andover Libraries (FOALs) group would like to thank the volunteers who offered their assistance in many ways, resulting in a very successful Library Book Sale, held on July 3 and 4. We appreciated their time and effort to sort and box up books, to transport approximately 300 boxes of books to the Proctor Stone Chapel on the Village Green, to clean up after the sale, and to load the unselected books to a company truck for recycling on July 5. Many hands make light work and our wonderful volunteers certainly made the difference!      Many thanks to our book sale volunteers: Kathy DeGrassie, Robin Benincase, Ryan Benincase, Nancy Robart, Christine Frost, Santigie Hoover, Anne Hewitt, David Hewitt, John Hodgson, Amy Makechnie, Gregor Makechnie, Brynne Makechnie, Paige Makechnie, Kathy Bennett, Holly Tabor, Kris Tabor-Hall, Cynthia Schwenk, Marie Nardino, Gail Beaufays, Bill Swenson, Cheri Swenson, Dana Swenson, Deb Swenson, Lee Wells, Ken Wells, Lorna Carlisle, Margo Coolidge, Deb Rees, Julie Matz, Caroline Moulton, Susan Chase, and Janet Moore. FOALs would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Jake Benedict from New School Vinyl in Franklin for his generous donation of the Friends of the Andover Libraries vinyl banner.    A kick off Friends of the Library event and membership drive is being planned for this fall.
