Mess Fest is Messy Fun at Andover Public Library

Monies donated at mini golf pay for Mess Fest

Kids were invited to “Paint the Librarian” at the Andover Public Library’s Mess Fest in July.

On July 11, the Andover Public Library hosted Mess Fest, an evening of messy, outdoor play for kids. We had shaving cream, Oobleck, mud, giant painting, bubbles, chalk, and water available, and children were allowed to make as much of a mess as they wanted. It was every kid’s dream!

Children enjoy the Oobleck pool at the Andover Public Library’s Mess Fest.

Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends also joined in on the fun. It was magical to see. If you missed Mess Fest, don’t worry, as we plan to host this event again next year!

Mess Fest was made possible through all the wonderful donations made by mini-golf players at the Putting for Programs Mini Golf event, which was held July 3–6. We will also be able to have nine other extra special programs this year because of the generosity of local businesses and organizations who contributed to our Mini Golf course. We also want to thank Scott Hilliard, the Andover Highway Department, Alison Holler, Lindsey Allenby, Shelby Perreault, Julie Matz, Sadie, Santigie, Eila, and Laurel for all their help in preparing for Mess Fest.
