Danbury — Sunday worship at the South Danbury Church is at 11 AM. Everyone is invited, and all are welcome.

Danbury Village in olden days.

Thanks to all who participated in this year’s Danbury Old Home Day celebration at the South Danbury Church, our first post-Covid Old Home Day! Special thanks to everyone from the United Church of Danbury and the South Danbury Church who made it such a happy and memorable gathering. Cheers to our South Danbury “choir” — Sue and Lance Ford, Connie McLeod, Jim Buckwell, Sandi Pierson and her guitar, and everyone who joined in the sing-along.

Extra-special thanks to Danbury historian Gary Ford for his illustrated presentation of historical insights and images from his extensive collection. It was so popular that Gary has agreed to do a new presentation in the fall. Watch the news!

Danbury’s 110th Grange Fair will be on Saturday, September 7. This year’s theme for the fair and the parade is “Let’s Go Retro!” Look for our “float”!
