ANDOVER – Thank you to everyone who joined us for all the fun Summer programs we held this year. We enjoyed meeting new friends and spending time with old ones too. The library will be taking a brief hiatus from special events until September 19.
During this time, we will continue to have Story Times on Tuesdays at 10 AM at the William A. Bachelder Library (WABL) and Wednesdays at 10 AM at the Andover Public Library (APL).
Thursday, September 19, at 7 PM at APL: Book Tasting.
Join us for an evening of tasty treats and rave-worthy reads! Participants will visit stations throughout the library to sample books from different genres and enjoy snacks that match them. This is also a great way to meet other readers in the community. Registration is required and limited to 20 participants. Please visit our website or email the librarian (andovernhlibraries@nullgmail.com) to register.
Thursday, September 26, between 2-6 PM at APL: The Floor is Lava
It’s the classic game with a library twist! Can you make it through the course and save the golden library books from lava? Find out by visiting the library and trying it out. This event is best for ages 2-8, but older kids are also welcome.
Saturday, September 28, at 10 AM at APL: The Great Puzzle Race!
Who’s the fastest puzzler in town? Find out during our Puzzle Race! This time, we will have two divisions: Teams of Two and Teams of Four. Teams of Two will compete to finish a 300 piece puzzle and Teams of Four will try to complete a 500 piece puzzle. The winner of each division will receive a puzzler gift basket.
Please register by emailing the librarian at andovernhlibraries@nullgmail.com.
We also continue to host our Bachelder Book Club at WABL on the fourth Wednesday of the month, as well as a variety of on-going programs for kids such as crafts, coloring, and imaginative play. Stop by either library during any of our open hours to discover all the fun we have in store for you!
