Alvin See is running for reelection to State Representative in Merrimack County District 26 which encompasses the towns of Andover, Boscawen, Canterbury, Danbury, Hill, Loudon, Salisbury, and Webster.
I support smaller, efficient and accountable government. We need to avoid letting government grow too big as has happened in other states because it gets very expensive for the taxpayer. Small government helps limit the infringements upon our individual rights.
I am opposed to any broad-based taxes in New Hampshire. Taxes rob the citizens of their hard-earned money and reduce their ability to provide food and shelter for their families – their most important duty. Even taxes on businesses get passed on to their customers as higher prices.
A recent New Hampshire Supreme Court decision regarding school funding will result in changes to the funding formula. This will be a priority in the 2025 legislative year. There will no doubt be many different ideas on how to fix the funding. I will work to support a funding method that is as fair as possible for all the amazing differences in all the towns and cities in the state.
While I am Pro-Life, and feel that abortions should only be for life-threatening emergencies, I will continue to support the existing law allowing abortions for any reason in the first six months, with exceptions for emergencies in late-term.
There will be many other issues to come before the legislature, and I will take a conservative and constitutional approach to all these situations.
