Dear Andover Residents,
It is a great honor for me to be chosen as your new Town Administrator, following the departure of my admired predecessor, Scott Hilliard. Scott’s contributions to our town during his tenure were invaluable, and I am grateful for the strong foundation he laid for us to continue building upon. His passion for public service and his dedication to the residents of Andover are qualities I will strive to emulate as I take on this responsibility.
Having grown up in Andover, I am beyond excited for this opportunity to serve my hometown. After graduating from Daniel Webster College, I began my professional career as a financial accountant. Next, I spent close to 20 years as a helicopter pilot with diverse assignments, including flying tourists over the Grand Canyon, heliskiing in Alaska, flying for large public utility power companies constructing power lines and towers throughout the country, and serving the public performing law enforcement and providing emergency medical services.
Upon returning home to Andover, I purchased the house I grew up in and flew for Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s DHART program. Following DHART, I gained further professional experience as an engineering project manager and, most recently, as the operations manager at a local engineering company. My background has given me a broad and unique set of skills, which I’m eager to bring to my new post as your Town Administrator.
I am committed to working closely with the Select Board, our dedicated town employees, volunteers, and residents to preserve the beauty, peace, and traditions that make Andover such a special place. I aim to be a visible, approachable presence in the community and look forward to engaging with all of you — listening and working together to ensure that Andover continues to thrive as the wonderful community it has always been.
Thank you for this opportunity to serve you in the coming years.
Sincerely,
Don Sieburg
