Voters Endorse Stu Green for State Senate in District 7

By Fritz and Barbara Hunting

Never before have we endorsed a political candidate with a public statement. However, in this instance, and in these troubled times, we believe that Stuart (“Stu”) Green, of Andover, is a very worthy candidate, running as a Democratic candidate for the New Hampshire Senate in District 7.

Between 1994 and 2015 we lived in Andover, where we knew both Stu and his parents. Stu was raised in Andover and served for 20 years in the United States Navy where he rose to the rank of Commander, served in a diplomatic post, and provided key intelligence analysis to high-level military leaders. Once he retired from the Navy he came back to Andover with his wife to raise their two children, while volunteering as the Andover Town Moderator.

Stu will always bring common sense values to his service in Concord. He understands the severity of the property tax burden and will work to alleviate this situation, while also refusing to support a sales tax or tax on earned income.

Stu has had lifelong reverence for the New Hampshire environment, from the lakes to our mountains, which define our state’s landscape and are essential to our state’s tourist economy. Stu further believes that every child should be furnished with the educational tools and opportunities to succeed.

We have ordinarily been Republican voters until the emergence of Donald Trump as the dominating force in the Republican Party. Now we live in New London so, unfortunately, we cannot vote for Stu, but we strongly and sincerely encourage District 7 voters to support Stu.
