Visit the Franklin Animal Shelter to Meet Autumn!

Sweet, five-year-old boxer is ready to go home

Press release
Autumn is an affectionate companion who enjoys her walks.

Autumn is a five-year-old boxer mix who arrived at Franklin Animal Shelter on September 19. Autumn has all vaccines, is up-to-date on heartworm prevention, has been spayed, and maintains a healthy weight at 67 pounds. She is a lovely pup who has experience with children, having been around babies and young children throughout her life.

Autumn does well with most dogs, although she doesn’t have any known history with cats. While she can be a bit shy around men, she warms up to women quickly and forms strong bonds once she feels safe.

When Autumn first arrived, she was a bit stressed and scared, but with patience and love, she has shown her sweet personality! She enjoys going for walks and runs and does great in the car. While she may not be overly interested in toys just yet, she absolutely loves affection and will shower you with love once she trusts you.

She gives love freely by leaning into those who support her, build her confidence, and make her feel comfortable. Her kisses, wags, and smiles are a true reward! If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will return your kindness with endless love, Autumn could be the perfect match for you!

Interested in meeting Autumn? Come visit Franklin Animal Shelter and give this sweet girl the chance she deserves. Autumn and many adoptable pets, both cats and dogs, are available for adoption.

If you cannot adopt a pet at this time, please consider making a donation to support local animals and their families. The shelter also welcomes the community to volunteer. Apply online or stop by the shelter to learn more.
