Press release
Anya Hinkle, whose music is rooted in the folk and bluegrass music of the Appalachian mountains, will be performing at the Andover Community Coffeehouse on Friday, November 15.

Anya Hinkle, a southwest Virginia native whose music is rooted in the folk and bluegrass music of the Appalachian mountains and seasoned by travels across the world, will be performing at the Andover Community Coffeehouse on Friday, November 15. The monthly Coffeehouse is held at the Highland Lake Grange Hall in East Andover.

Called “a burgeoning force behind the Appalachian roots revival” by PopMatters, singer and  guitarist Anya will perform with Christian Howes on violin. As Bluegrass Today says, “Once you hear Anya sing, you will want to hear her again. If you get a chance to see her perform, take it!” So, Andover, here’s your chance!

Music begins at 7 PM, although the doors open at 6 PM for food and beverage purchases, sound checks, and up to five open-mic sign-ups on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission is free, although the hat will be passed and generous donations are encouraged, to be shared with the featured group.

The sponsor for this month’s coffeehouse is Anne Marie Appel, Realtor — O’Halloran Group, Keller Williams Coastal Lakes & Mountains Realty. To learn more about Hinkle and her music, check out the Coffeehouse website at www.AndoverCoffeehouse.org. The coffeehouse is a program of The Andover Community Hub.
