Time Flies for Preschool Students; Lots of Activities at EAVP

New fundraising opportunities; call for details

By Stephanie D'Amour
Preschool students have fun exploring woods behind the East Andover Village Preschool.

ANDOVER — The year is flying by at preschool with the holidays almost behind us! We love celebrating the holidays with all the joy and fun that comes with it.

Preschool is trying some new fundraising opportunities this year with a fun family night out later this month and selling freeze dried candies! If you are interested in supporting us, please reach out to an enrolled family or eavp@nulltds.net.

We are thrilled to have welcomed two new students this month from near and far. One family is a resident of Andover and another from Hopkinton. It is so great to see all the communities coming together at our little school.

This fall we enjoyed taking breaks from the boundaries of our playground fence. We loved going for walks on the Rail Trail, spending time at Chaffee Park, and exploring the woods just behind Preschool. On one particularly warm fall day in the woods, the children climbed up and down a small ravine, exploring so many aspects of nature.

A group of children worked together to pull a root out of the ground. The root was a tough match for these determined preschoolers, with no budging it, but the experience was well worth the try!
These types of outdoor activities help promote core strength, which is actually an important base skill for long term learning.
