Celebrated author Mary Lyn Ray, of Danbury, has received numerous accolades, including Amazon’s Editor’s Pick for Best Children’s Books in 2024, for her just-released When You Find the Right Rock, with delightful illustrations by artist Felicita Sala. What could be better, in The Granite State, after all, than an award-winning children’s book about rocks?

Mary Lyn Ray is a children’s author, a conservationist, and a historic preservationist. She has written dozens of books and received nearly as many awards for her work.
