ANDOVER — 2024 was another year of growth for our Andover Libraries! Read on to learn about the important work of our community libraries.

Our libraries had 9,317 visitors (2,977 at the William A. Bachelder Library and 6,340 at the Andover Public Library). This is up from our 2023 number of 7,158 visits. Patrons who visited the libraries were able to ask questions, get book recommendations, meet new friends, learn new skills, and more. We also hosted 55 special events and 126 recurring events that entertained 3,370 attendees at no cost to them. We had themed parties for kids; such as the Bluey Bash and Mess Fest, community events; like the Taylor Swift Poetry Party and Mini Golf, and book-themed get-togethers for adults, like The Book Exchange and The Book Tasting.

We checked out 8,668 books, DVDs, games, and more between our two libraries. We also checked out over 4,000 digital items to patrons through our hoopla and Libby services. By using library services, Andover residents saved over $242,083 in 2024.

We had 160 new patrons at our libraries in 2024. If you are not using the library yet, we hope you will join us in 2025!
