WILMOT – Looking for local fun and free activities? Join one of the many free classes at the Red Barn, 64 Village Road, Wilmot.
On February 3, 12–1 PM, join us for our monthly “Eat and Greet” lunchtime get-together. This month, meet our local “celebrity” for the month, Wilmot’s new police officer, Sergeant Cameron. Bring your bag lunch and hear more about Sargeant Cameron’s background and first few months in Wilmot.
Come share your inner artist every Monday, 3:30–5:30 PM, and Thursday, 12:30–2:30 PM, by attending our walk-in painting group. Bring your brushes, paints, or other media and work on your art with other local artists. This non-guided group welcomes all levels and expertise.
On Tuesdays, 1–3:30 PM, the WCA hosts Mah Jongg. Whether you are an experienced Mah Jongger or just want to learn, feel free to drop by and play.
Every Thursday, 10–11:30 AM, in partnership with the Kearsarge Area Council on Aging
(COA), we offer a guided line dancing class. It’s a great way to get in your weekly dancing!
On the second Sunday of the month, 2–4 PM, join the Kearsarge Fiber Divas. Bring your knitting, crocheting, felting, or rug hooking and enjoy the company of other crafters while you work on your project.
The WCA, founded in 1963, offers free and low-cost events throughout the year. The WCA owns and operates two facilities in Wilmot — the Red Barn, a community center on Village Road, and Timmy Patten Park, a beach and playground on Shindagan Road.
Please visit wilmotwca.org for more information about the WCA. The WCA’s office is open from 9 AM to 3 PM, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and by appointment. More information is available from the WCA at 603 526-7934 or wca@nullwilmotwca.org.
