November 4, 1962
Santa Claus will be paying an early visit this year to the Regal Theatre. On Saturday and Sunday his new movie, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, will be shown, and there will be gifts for all the children, as well as many surprises!
Congratulations go to Roy Downs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Downs, Sr., and to Kathy Keyser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Keyser of Shaw Hill. The couple was married at the Andover Congregational Church on Saturday, October 30.
Congratulations go to Mr. and Mrs. Perley Henderson, Sr., on their 35th wedding anniversary on October 30. A surprise party was held in their Andover home that evening.
November 11, 1962
Funeral services were held for Samuel Dalton of East Andover. Mr. Dalton, 88, born in South Durham, Quebec, had lived in Northfield for 30 years before coming to Andover four years ago. He was a woodsman by trade. He is survived by his wife, Ina (Downing) Dalton of East Andover, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Rose Hislop, also of East Andover.
Mrs. McIntyre’s second grade class had a Halloween party last week. The children played “Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin.” Linda Thomas and Kevin Sleeper won the prizes.

Champagne’s, the family store, in Franklin is selling boneless top of the round beefsteak for 88 cents a pound.
We had our first snowstorm over the weekend, so winter is upon us.
Deer hunting started on November 10, so be careful and make sure what you are shooting at. Richard Gronbeck shot a 160-pound buck this past week. Lucky deer hunters up to this date are Richard Martin, James Bailey, Allan Keyser, Lyman Currier, Charles Barton, Wallace Currier, Jane Currier, Larry French, Erving Nelson, Buck Albee, Keith Weed, George Miller, Bradley Lugtig, Fred Miller, and Jerry Hersey (a 125-pound seven-point buck – his first).
