ANDOVER — If you are interested in sending your two-and-a-half- to five-year-old to preschool, we have an opportunity for you to come in, meet the teachers, and get any questions answered. Enrollment is starting for the 25/26 school year, with summer camp available.

EAVP is a play-based preschool that enjoys nature as much as possible. Our mission is to create a loving, safe, and enriching environment that promotes each child’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth, while inspiring a lifelong commitment to learning and the outdoors.

Preschool tries to get outside every day, but this has been one cold winter! When extreme weather prevents us from going outside, we still get our bodies moving indoors. Some of the most classic kids’ games have been a staple for us this year, like musical chairs and tug-of-war.

In tug-of-war, children are gaining so much development, including core strength, which is essential for writing skills down the line. Children get to work on social-emotional skills, like empathy, self-regulation, and establishing boundaries. Cognitive skills are also at work here, with problem solving and learning to work as a team.
