KNP Korner News

NEW LONDON — Did you know KNP has an account at the Repeat Boutique consignment store in Andover, inside and upstairs at the Circle K minimart? When the store sells clothing dropped off for the KNP account, it holds the profit in our account. This past week, a neighbor assisted by KNP advocates, was thrilled to shop for warm clothing for their children “for free.”

Owner Suzy reminds us that Repeat Boutique is now stocking for the coming season, so take one of these wintery mornings to clean out your drawers and closets and drop off any spring and summer clothes at Repeat Boutique. Just ask for it to go on the KNP account!

A Warner family is thrilled to be behind the wheel of a very nice older Honda Accord, given on January 23, thanks to the group efforts of our fantastic Kars for Kearsarge team. The car was so well taken care of that all it needed was a set of new windshield wipers! K4K funds purchased the used vehicle, making this the 16th Kearsarge area household empowered to be self-sufficient and independent through dependable transportation

We know change is difficult. KNP truly appreciates volunteers, donors and neighbors transferring membership data to our new volunteer management system, Better Impact. Help is available to support volunteers through the new procedures, so please don’t hesitate to call volunteer coordinator Beth, at 603 317-5900 or info@nullKNPnh.org

Better Impact will increase the security of personal data of KNP volunteers, neighbors, and donors to HIPAA standards, and will allow members to share a few personal interests and hobbies so that we can facilitate some fun new groups and activities within the KNP community. Thanks for bearing with us as we transfer to the new system!

Reminder: low to middle income households can have their federal and state tax returns prepared for free through the AARP Tax-Aide program. For more information, please call 802 359 7480 or email schultzjiml@nulloutlook.com.

Another Reminder: elementary students still need mentors. Windsor County Mentors seeks adults to meet with Sullivan County students at school, one hour/week. WCM will train you and match you with a child. For more information, email: info@nullwcmentors.org, or call 802 674-5101.
