Franklin resident Olivia Genus took the top scoring dance routine of all solos, duos/trios, and groups for the intermediate level at the recent Dancers Inc. competition in North Berwick, Maine. The solo, called Word Up, was choreographed by Sue Harrington. Olivia dances at Lakes Region Dance in Meredith, now home to the former Franklin C-steps studio run by Sue Harrington. Many of Sue’s Franklin students followed her to Lakes Region Dance, which also won Top Scoring Studio, at the recent competition.
