FRANKLIN — What goes better together than pizza and beer? Located on Central Street in downtown Franklin, nestled against Marceau Park, sits Vulgar Brewing Company. Founded in 2018, the locally owned brewery boasts a variety of craft beers made from local ingredients and brewed on site, as well as non-alcoholic beers and cider on tap.
With its industrial-style interior, brick walls, and high ceiling, the brewery offers a relaxed, welcoming ambiance. Seating is plentiful, with tables, booths, and bar seating available, as well as seasonal outdoor seating with fast and attentive service from your table. Highchairs are available for the younger diners, and bottled sodas and seltzers are available for the kids. Both family and group dining are welcomed with a maximum indoor single-table party size of twelve.
The menu offers a range of 12-inch brick oven pizzas, with a gluten free crust offered on request, and vegan options available. Appetizers, salads, and desserts are also on the menu, providing more variety.
A popular spot among the locals, Vulgar Brewing Company offers a Vulgar Society yearly membership that includes discounts, exclusive events, and your own mug that can be taken home at the end of the year. You may have to join a waitlist as there are limited memberships available.
For a fun night out with friends, Thursdays are trivia nights with a twist; every answer is a number. The trivia is free to enter, and prizes are awarded for the winning teams. If you miss trivia, you’ll find a stack of Trivial Pursuit cards on your table to make your own trivia night any day of the week.
Closed Monday and Tuesday, you can choose to dine in and enjoy the atmosphere, or take out, with four-packs of beer available to go as well as the food. Online ordering is also available, and though you may be spending a little more than ordering from your franchise pizza places, you will find that the quality and portion sizes are well worth it.
