Lakes Region General Hospital and Franklin Regional Hospital (part of the LRGHealthcare family) are the first two hospitals in the state to be part of the New Hampshire Meat Hospital Program, an initiative designed to provide institutions with locally raised meat for their patients, visitors, and staff. The long-term goal of the program is to support a healthy diet with fresh high-quality meat, free from hormones, antibiotics, artificial additives, and preservatives.
To kick off the program, Miles Smith Farm will set up product tastings at LRGH on Thursday, June 6, from 11:15 AM to 2 PM.
Representatives from both LRGHealthcare Food and Nutrition Services and Miles Smith Farm will be available to answer questions regarding the program and its benefits.
