Press release

The Brooks Young Band, a great mix of rock, blues, and pop will appear at Franklin Opera House on Saturday, June 22, at 8 PM.

The band will be accompanied by special guest Charlie Farren, formerly of the Joe Perry Project and Ferrinheit.

The Brooks Young Band, led by Franklin’s own Brooks Young, has toured extensively throughout the Northeast and has appeared with such internationally known artists as B.B King, James Montgomery, REO Speedwagon, J. Geils, Rick Derringer, and many more.

From Boston to New York to Nashville, the Brooks Young Band is making a name for itself for its slick musicianship and compelling vocals.

“It will be a treat to play again in my own home town,” says Brooks whose musical journey has taken him far across America while still in his twenties. “And we’ll be celebrating our new CD, Time to Fly, so we’ll be performing songs from that new CD that many have not heard before.”

Charlie Farren is no stranger to area audiences having appeared at a variety of venues with The Joe Perry Project and Ferrenheit as well as performing as a solo musician. His powerful and intricate guitar work has been enjoyed by thousands of fans everywhere he has appeared.

Franklin Opera House, the Lakes Region’s premier destination for great live entertainment, is located in the City Hall Building, 316 Central Street, Franklin. A small and intimate venue seating only 300, it is a great place to see a show “up close and personal” as all seats offer a full and close view of the stage. There are no obstructed seats in the Opera House and there is ample free parking.
