Cherie Blessing of Andover, second- and third-grade teacher at Mid Vermont Christian School (MVCS), personifies the school message of Educating for Impact! Which is one reason that Miss Blessing was honored as a recipient of one of ten $5,000 Herff Jones Teacher Shout Out Awards for being a top vote-getter from over 10,000 votes cast in the Herff Jones Teacher Shout Out contest.
One of Cherie’s Shout Outs shared: “I’m grateful for the love, commitment, and enthusiasm you have for your students. Miss Blessing is completely devoted to working with the students at MVCS. She uses novel teaching techniques to make learning not only meaningful, but fun! Miss Blessing thinks that it is an honor to be teaching our children and does everything she can to make each student’s year not just positive, but spectacular. What she doesn’t realize is that it is us, the students and parents, who are honored to have her!”
A veteran educator with an enthusiasm about and devotion to teaching, Cherie Blessing had over two decades of experience, through both the Christian school and public school sector, before joining the Mid Vermont Christian School family in 2011. Located in Quechee, MVCS is a Vermont Approved Independent School providing a unique scholastic opportunity for students throughout the Upper Valley. They offer a “quality, Christ-centered education for students from preschool through high school, with a mission to glorify God by preparing students for college and for life through a program of academic excellence established in Biblical truth.”
Miss Blessing was recognized in her Shout Out’s with accolades that included: “I’m grateful that you love our children so much and see the uniqueness of each one. You promote a love of learning and discovery in the classroom. Thank you for encouraging our children to strive for their best in all they do!”
As well as: “You are amazing! I love the way you interact with all your students. You keep them engaged in learning by teaching to each learning style. You give your energy in everything you do. You make each day memorable! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
