The Wilmot Town Green is buzzing with energy every Saturday morning from 9 AM to noon with vendors, customers, pets, and children, all enjoying the camaraderie that comes with a local market venue. Rain or shine, people come to shop, visit with their neighbors, and have a hot cup of coffee or a delicious breakfast omelet.
Several new full-time vendors, including Fred’s Organic Farm and Yiayia’s Creations specializing in Greek food, have captured the attention of market-goers and added a new dimension to the products offered at the market.
The Education Tent is now host to the new Window on Wilmot (WOW) information center. All Wilmot non-profit organizations are invited to share their big event calendar items and fill the information “shoe bag” pockets with notices of their upcoming events. The goal is to have one central place to access information for all Wilmot non-profits. Before making your plans, be sure to consult the WOW calendar at TinyURL.com/Wilmot-Calendar.
Featured in the Education Tent during August are: Cooking with local foods on August 3; the life of bees on August 10; antique sock-knitting machine on August 17; electronic microscope on August 24; and WCA Jubilee on August 31.
Musicians and their sponsors include: Deanna Stiles on August 3, sponsored by Sarge’s Garage; Mike Cressy on August 10, sponsored by Mascoma Bank; Folk Fusion on August 17, sponsored by Kearsarge Magazine; Richard King on August 24, sponsored by Nola and Ken Aldrich; and Deanna Stiles on August 31, sponsored by Mascoma Bank.
