First, I want to thank all those of the community who provided assistance and acts of kindness following my recent adverse health episode – visitors at Franklin Regional Hospital, rides to and from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital, casseroles, deserts, the singing card, visits from the AE/MS students, and many more acts of kindness, as I suddenly became the recipient instead of the giver of care.

And foremost, and even more important to me, I want to thank the people of Andover, and its larger community, for letting me keep active in retirement through volunteer acts that kept me fit and my heart strong enough to survive this health threat and keep on with my efforts to make Andover a better place to learn and live.
