Roger M. Andrus died on August 17, 2013, at Presidential Oaks after a short illness. He was born in Sanbornton on November 23, 1930, the son of Max Lee Andrus and Florence A. Merrill Andrus, was raised in Andover, and was a graduate of Franklin High School.
He worked 45-plus years at Hoague and Sprague Paper Mill in West Hopkinton.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, “Judy” Norma L. Blanchette Andrus of Contoocook; seven children, Dianne L. Cooper, Roger J. Andrus, Roland P. Andrus, Gene L. Andrus, Rocky L. Andrus, Sherry A. Andrus, and Vicki L. Doubleday; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He also leaves three brothers, Michael Andrus, Theodore Andrus, and Bryant Andrus.
Visiting hours were held on August 22 and services were held on August 23, both in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home, Henniker. Burial followed in Henniker New Cemetery, Henniker. Donations may be made in his name to CRVNA, 30 Pillsbury Street, Concord 03301.
